Dark Mountain Yoga currently offers the following classes:

 

Gentle Yoga

    Gentle yoga is a class designed for the person who likes to come to a yoga class to breathe, relax, stretch and find proper alignment in each pose.  The class is designed for all levels and all yogis alike!  

Vinyasa Flow

    Power Vinyasa Flow will take you through a set series of flows as the instructor links together the poses and gets your heart rate up.  Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement, where each pose is matched with a breath and power means you will be moving through the poses at a swift pace.  This class is designed to be fun and upbeat and challenge you to bring your physical practice (your asana) to the mat.  

Slow Flow

Slow Flow still connects each breath with movement, gets the heart rate pumping and links poses.  The only difference is that the movements are slightly slower, giving you the opportunity to really work on each pose, breathe through the pose and pay attention to your body and movements.  

Origins Yoga

    Origins yoga is a class designed to take your heart, mind and soul back to the mat.  This instructor designed class combines the Asana, the Yamas and the Niyamas to bring the body and mind to a state of enlightenment and peace. Meditation and oms are definitely a part of this class.  We invite you to open your heart and mind, letting your yoga practice bring you to a state of peace.

Beginner Yoga

    The instructors will walk you through the proper format of between 3-5 poses per class.  You will learn proper form, alignment and yoga terms.  The students will hold the poses for longer and come to an understanding of how every part of the body and mind is involved in each pose.  The class is excellent for beginners or any yogi that wants to deepen their understanding of their practice and poses.  

I got 5 on it Fridays

    Friday!!  It’s the end of the week and everyone needs time to de-stress!  This class is designed to be fun and upbeat!  We will work through some pranayama (breathing), stretching and a few flows.  The music will be fun and the class is only $5 for a drop in!

Work it Out Yoga

    This is a fast paced class with a work out beat to it.  This class combines quicker movement for cardio and longer holds for core strength. Students will get their heart rate up and get their sweat on while still obtaining the benefits of a yoga class.  Weights are optional in this class and can be added for an additional challenge.

All Levels

All levels are welcome!! Beginners to yoga teachers!  This is a great class to deepen and expand your practice. The instructor designs the class to meet every student’s needs. The instructor is present to support the students and help each student meet their desires/needs for the class. The class can be as mellow or as challenging as you would like it to be.  This class is works well  for beginners and ongoing students.

Sunrise yoga

Sunrise yoga class is a class to get your body moving and blood pumping.  The class will wake you up in the morning starting with sun salutations, moving through poses and then of course ending in a restful savasana.  Come get your morning starting right!

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a class that focuses on stretching the fascia or the connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body.  In yin you hold poses for a longer period of time really focusing on lengthening the body and opening the heart and the mind. 

Yoga Nidra

Also known as yogic sleep.  This class is once a month.  1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 3 hours of regular sleep.  This class allows you body to go into the 4th state of consciousness  where your body can rest and heal.  The science behind Yoga Nidra is undeniable and this is an amazing practice to bring into your life.  This class is a guided meditation so there is no movement once you are settled in!
